The "Attica Motorsport Club" and the Organizing Committee of 12th Baja Greece, are pleased to announce that the race will be held 29 May to 1 June 2025 in Western Macedonia and with rally center the Municipality of Argos Orestiko, after approval of the World Motorsport Council of the International Automobile Federation (FIA) and the Hellenic Motorsport Federation (OMAE).
Back in 2022, that was the first year that Baja Greece entered the calendar of the European Cup and this was repeated in 2023 so that in 2024 to be upgraded by the FIA and counted in the Baja World Cup, being one of only 8 races of the trophy.
After intensive consultation with the FIA, 2025Baja Greece will be valid for both the World and European Baja Cups, confirming the high level of organization and the confidence of the International Automobile Federation (FIA).
In addition, and parallel to the FIA race, the National event, established since 2013, will be held with the corresponding trophy, which always attracts international entries.
Baja Greece, based on the above developments, confirms that it is the biggest motorsport event in Greece after WRC Rally Acropolis, and the leading sports event of Western Macedonia region.
The course of the race with the successive upgrades within a few years in the calendars of the FIA confirms the determination of the Organizers to rely on the triptych "Safety, Motorsport Spirit, Traditional Greek Hospitality" since 2013.
The Organizing Committee, in return for the easy choice of holding Baja Greece in more central regions of Greece that would ensure an even faster development of the race, has chosen Western Macedonia since 2014, thus spotlighting and promoting the border-Prefectures of Kastoria and Florina through of a global sporting event, creating an international sporting place-name and at the same time giving local communities a continuously improving economic and social footprint.
With particular sensitivity to ecological issues, Baja Greece has received from the FIA the 1st environmental accreditation star for the consistent implementation of environmentally friendly procedures and actions.
The preparation of the 12th Baja Greece has already started with continuous cooperation with the Police, the Prefectures of Kastoria and Florina, the relevant Forestry Departments, the Municipalities and Communities of the region, in order to issue the necessary permits for the event.
It should be noted that Baja Greece is the only race of its kind in Greece where the Selective Sections are held on agricultural and forest roads closed to the traffic of other vehicles, with one of them planned for 2025 to exceed 160 kilometers.
Institutional Supporters of the Baja Greece are the Ministry of Education, Religion and Sports, the Region of Western Macedonia, the Prefecture of Kastoria, the Regional Union of Municipalities of Western Macedonia and the Municipality of Argos Orestiko, while helping with the safety of the event are the Greek Police, the Greek Fire Brigade, the Greek Emergency Aid Centre (EKAV), the Red Cross and the volunteers.

Το “Αθλητικό Σωματείο Φίλων Αυτοκίνησης Αττικής” και η Οργανωτική Επιτροπή του 12ου Baja Greece, με ιδιαίτερη χαρά ανακοινώνουν ότι ο αγώνας θα διεξαχθεί το 4ήμερο 29 Μαΐου με 1 Ιουνίου 2025 στη Δυτική Μακεδονία και με βάση το φιλόξενο Δήμο του Άργους Ορεστικού, μετά από έγκριση του Παγκόσμιου Συμβουλίου της Διεθνούς Ομοσπονδίας Αυτοκινήτου (FIA) και της Ομοσπονδίας Μηχανοκίνητου Αθλητισμού Ελλάδας (ΟΜΑΕ).
Το 2022 ήταν η πρώτη χρονιά που το Baja Greece εισήλθε στο ημερολόγιο του Ευρωπαϊκού Κυπέλλου και αυτό επαναλήφθηκε το 2023 ώστε το 2024 να αναβαθμιστεί από την FIA και να προσμετρά στο Παγκόσμιο Κύπελλο Baja όντας ένας από τους μόλις 8 αγώνες του θεσμού.
Μετά από εντατικές διαβουλεύσεις με την FIA, ο αγώνας το 2025 πλέον θα προσμετρά ταυτόχρονα και για το Παγκόσμιο και για το Ευρωπαϊκό Κύπελλο Baja επικυρώνοντας με αυτό το τρόπο το υψηλό επίπεδο οργάνωσης και την εμπιστοσύνη της Διεθνούς Ομοσπονδίας Αυτοκινήτου.
Επιπρόσθετα, και παράλληλα με τον αγώνα της FIA, θα πραγματοποιηθεί και ο καθιερωμένος από το 2013 Εθνικός αγώνας με το αντίστοιχο έπαθλο που ανέκαθεν προσελκύει συμμετοχές και από το εξωτερικό.
Το Baja Greece, με βάση την ανωτέρω εξέλιξη, επιβεβαιώνει ότι είναι ο μεγαλύτερος αγώνας μηχανοκίνητου αθλητισμού στην Ελλάδα μετά το Rally Acropolis, και το κορυφαίο αθλητικό γεγονός της Δυτικής Μακεδονίας.
Η πορεία του αγώνα με τις αλλεπάλληλες αναβαθμίσεις, μέσα σε ελάχιστα χρόνια, στα ημερολόγια της FIA επιβεβαιώνει την προσήλωση των Οργανωτών να στηρίζονται από το 2013 στο τρίπτυχο “Ασφάλεια, Αθλητικό Πνεύμα, Παραδοσιακή Ελληνική Φιλοξενία”.
Η Οργανωτική Επιτροπή αντιπαρερχόμενη την εύκολη επιλογή διεξαγωγής του Baja Greece σε πιο κεντρικά σημεία της Ελλάδας που θα διασφάλιζε ακόμη ταχύτερη εξέλιξη του αγώνα, έχει επιλέξει από το 2014 τη Δυτική Μακεδονία, ρίχνοντας έτσι τα φώτα της δημοσιότητας και προβολής στους ακριτικούς Νομούς Καστοριάς και Φλώρινας μέσω μιας παγκόσμιας αθλητικής εκδήλωσης, δημιουργώντας ένα διεθνές αθλητικό τοπωνύμιο και ταυτόχρονα προσδίδοντας στις τοπικές κοινωνίες απτό και συνεχόμενα βελτιούμενο οικονομικό και κοινωνικό αποτύπωμα.
Με ιδιαίτερη ευαισθησία σε θέματα οικολογίας, το Baja Greece έχει λάβει από την FIA το 1ο αστέρι περιβαλλοντικής διαπίστευσης με αφορμή την εφαρμογή διαδικασιών και ενεργειών φιλικών στο περιβάλλον.
Η προετοιμασία του 12ου Baja Greece έχει ξεκινήσει με συνεχή συνεργασία με την Αστυνομία, τις Περιφερειακές Ενότητες Καστοριάς και Φλώρινας, τα οικεία Δασαρχεία, τους Δήμους και Κοινότητες της περιοχής, ώστε να εκδοθούν οι απαραίτητες άδειες διεξαγωγής του αγώνα.
Να σημειωθεί ότι το Baja Greece είναι ο μοναδικός αγώνας του είδους στην Ελλάδα όπου οι Ειδικές Διαδρομές διεξάγονται σε αγροτικούς και δασικούς δρόμους κλειστούς στη κυκλοφορία άλλων οχημάτων, με μία εξ’ αυτών να σχεδιάζεται για το 2025 να υπερβαίνει τα 160 χιλιόμετρα.
Θεσμικοί Υποστηρικτές του αγώνα είναι το Υπουργείο Παιδείας, Θρησκευμάτων και Αθλητισμού, η Περιφέρεια Δυτικής Μακεδονίας, η Περιφερειακή Ενότητα Καστοριάς, η Περιφερειακή Ένωση Δήμων Δυτικής Μακεδονίας και ο Δήμος Άργους Ορεστικού, ενώ αρωγοί στην ασφάλεια της εκδήλωσης είναι η Ελληνική Αστυνομία, η Πυροσβεστική, το ΕΚΑΒ, ο Ερυθρός Σταυρός και οι εθελοντές.
